Liquidmetal Hosts Open House
LAKE FOREST, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 2017--
Liquidmetal® Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: LQMT), the leading
developer of amorphous alloy technologies, hosted an open house event in
its Lake Forest facility on October 17.
On Tuesday, Liquidmetal welcomed more than 180 investors, customers, and
partners to its headquarters in Lake Forest, California. Professor Lugee
Li, Chairman and CEO, personally greeted attendees. “I relish the chance
to meet our investors,” said Professor Li. “It isn’t something I get to
do often.”
On display were Liquidmetal’s three production lines: Medical-grade
amorphous metal molding, Industrial-grade amorphous metal molding, and
newly-added MIM (Metal Injection Molding). Visitors were also treated to
a demonstration of secondary operations and a tour of laboratory
facilities. Throughout the day, Principal Scientist Dr. Joseph Stevick
presented a “deep dive” into the company’s recent achievements in
biocompatibility research. Dr. Bruce Bromage, EVP Operations, presented
the Company’s business strategy, technology and near-term plans for
further expansion. “I thank the strong showing of customers and
investors that allowed us to demonstrate our readiness to rapidly scale
volume production,” said Dr. Bromage.
Presentations were also given by representatives from certified partners
ENGEL and Materion, detailing each company’s technical capabilities,
contributions to the field of amorphous metals, and active partnerships
with Liquidmetal.
Professor Li reaffirmed his commitment to growing Liquidmetal and to
achieving profitability. As the owner of more than 400 million shares of
Liquidmetal stock, Professor Li is deeply invested in Liquidmetal’s
future and used the event to clarify his business strategy.
