This important milestone represents the culmination of many iterations
of design, which will now be tested to assure the commercial readiness
of this breakthrough manufacturing technology.
-
Current and future licensees of LQMT may soon be able to purchase a
Liquidmetal injection-molding machine from Engel to manufacture
Liquidmetal parts as part of a turnkey solution.
-
The availability of the Liquidmetal injection-molding machine supplied
by Engel indicates the readiness of Engel to utilize its worldwide
network to provide ongoing service and spare parts procurement.
-
Developed by LQMT’s engineers in Orange County with active support
from Engel, the system incorporates the latest advancements to produce
high quality Liquidmetal parts. This includes developments that reduce
consumable costs and increase maintainability while precisely
controlling melt temperature.
“Licensing our technology to partners in vertical markets, such as
medical, aerospace and sporting goods applications, promises to be of
increasing importance to the Company going forward. The readiness of the
Liquidmetal injection molding machine, which will be sold and supported
by Engel, is an important step forward in our licensing strategy,”
