Joseph Stevick, Ph.D., Liquidmetal Technologies’ senior physicist, is
scheduled to present on Tuesday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. Central time. Dr.
Stevick will share his abstract titled, “Influence of Chemical
Composition on Mechanical Properties and Glass Forming Ability of LM1b
Alloy.” The abstract focuses on the effects of oxygen, carbon, and
nitrogen content on the mechanical performance and glass forming ability
of industrially produced Liquidmetal alloy. Dr. Stevick will also
discuss the sensitivity of the alloy to changes in the primary
composition and its influence on ease of industrial processing.
Since joining Liquidmetal Technologies in 2010, Dr. Stevick has played
an instrumental role in advancing Liquidmetal alloy into commercial
